Role Overview:

As a Principal Architect, you ll be responsible for designing and leading cutting-edge technology solutions that drive CVS s digital transformation and innovation initiatives. You ll partner with business and IT leaders to define architecture strategies, build modernization roadmaps, and lead the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, automation frameworks, and cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solution architecture design, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and modernization goals
- Provide technical leadership in cloud (Google Cloud Platform/Azure/AWS) architecture and automation frameworks
- Develop reference architectures and guide teams on best practices in modernization and application transformation
- Architect and implement AI/ML and GenAI solutions for automation and innovation
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver business-aligned solutions
- Mentor and guide development teams while fostering innovation and emerging technology adoption
Required Experience:
- 15+ years in software design and development
- 7+ years of hands-on cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform required; Azure/AWS preferred)
- Strong expertise in Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, Automation, and Observability
- Experience integrating modern platforms with legacy systems using tools like Kafka/Pulsar
- Hands-on with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and AI/ML (including GenAI)
- Proven ability to lead architecture initiatives and influence technology decisions across large enterprises
Preferred:
- Background in Healthcare Technology or Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM)
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards, compliance, and emerging digital health trends
- Cloud certifications (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure Architect-level)
