SUMMARY
Our Government client is building an online portal (public and internal facing) that enables electronic appeals and related document submission. On this online portal, members of the public can find information, submit an application for assessment appeals and appeal-related documents, and initiate various processes, such as withdrawing appeals, amending appeals, authorizing agents, etc. Internally, staff can enter and store appeals data and allow for meeting agenda development and processing.
The AAB system will be built using Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Experience Cloud Plus. The System will integrate with Box, Docusign and payment gateway. The system is being developed by a large systems integrator with onshore and offshore presence.
The project team is looking for a Salesforce QA tester. The Salesforce QA (Quality Assurance) tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of Salesforce application and configurations before they are deployed to production environments. They work with Client subject matter experts, vendor developers, QA testers, business analyst, and other stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.
Salesforce QA Tester Responsibilities:
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with Client and vendor staff, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications, translating them into detailed test cases.
- Test Planning and Execution: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases for all functionalities, features, and bug fixes related to Service Cloud, Experience Cloud functionality.
- Types of Testing: Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), security, and performance testing.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and report application defects/bugs using bug tracking system Jira and work closely with vendor QA testers to ensure timely resolution and verification of fixes.
- Configuration and Customization Validation: Validate Salesforce configurations (e.g., custom objects, fields, layouts, flows, validation rules, permission sets) and custom Apex code to ensure they function as expected and align with requirements.
- Integration Testing: Ensure seamless and accurate data exchange between Salesforce Service Cloud and other integrated systems (e.g., Box, Docusign, Payment Gateway and Assessor systems) using APIs (REST) and tools like Postman.
- Data Validation: Verify data integrity and accuracy during data migration or routine operations using tools like Data Loader and database queries (SOQL/SQL).
- Collaboration and Communication: Provide testing status updates and reports, and support County users during Integration Testing and UAT.
- Automation testing is not in scope for this engagement. All testing activities will be performed manually.
- Existing Postman collections will be used where available, and the QA will create or update test scripts as needed to support API testing.
- The QA tester will support the data migration validation efforts.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, Service Cloud features, configurations, and customization options.
- Testing Expertise: Knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Postman).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with keen attention to detail.
- Must have provided similar services for a minimum of six (6) years within the last ten (10) years.
- Must have familiarity with Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Quality Assurance Experience.
- Must have in-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints.
- Must have experience with defining and reporting Quality Assurance metrics for defined releases.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant certifications are often a plus.
- Government experience desired.
- Jira is the only test management tool currently used here.
- A description of not more than three (3) projects similar in size and scope conducted by the candidate, including the client, reference and telephone numbers, primary staff members involved, budget, schedule, and project summary. Descriptions should be limited to one (1) page for each project.
- Provide 3 references for each of the following, including the name, address, and telephone number of recent engagements (preferably other public agencies):
- Ability to work 100% remotely, Pacific time zone core working hours.
