Job Title: Map Program System Engineer

Job Description:
Scope of Services:
The System Engineer plays a strategic role in ensuring that the digital hub operates effectively across multiple systems and platforms. This position is responsible for coordinating infrastructure support for applications, from the design phase through testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical design, development, and component testing of repository changes.
Set up and maintain cloud-based servers and services.
Collaborate with development teams to provide production management support during new application design.
Develop scalable and coherent data pipeline architecture, following best practices for integrating data into a consolidated repository.
Coordinate resolution of issues and break-fix activities in both production and non-production environments.
Work with various stakeholders, including vendors, to investigate and resolve technical issues.
Ensure development team deliverables meet requirements and that code aligns with server software stacks and specifications.
Provide support during application testing and deployment by monitoring system performance and offering feedback.
Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
Execute special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
Candidates must meet all of the following qualifications to be considered:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in administering and maintaining Linux OS servers, iPlanet Web Servers, IBM MDM/IIS, Oracle WebLogic Application Servers, Portal Servers, and Windows Servers in both on-premises and cloud environments.
At least 8 years of experience writing SQL.
Strong expertise in cloud technologies, specifically AWS and/or Azure.
Proficient in scripting with Ant, Maven, and Shell for configuration management, build, deployment, and daily operations.
Experience configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) using SiteMinder with iPlanet or Oracle WebLogic Servers.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience with Oracle 19c, AWS RDS/MySQL, or similar database appliances.
Understanding of core design principles behind scalable applications.
Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and RESTful web services.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
