KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The cloud security engineer works with our Cyber Engineering, Operations, Architecture and Global Infrastructure teams to deploy and operate a secure cloud application infrastructure that aligns with the Cyber security strategic initiatives and business needs.
The position is responsible for supporting innovation and providing security direction to the business to elevate TIAA s security posture within a cloud computing infrastructure.
The cloud security engineer helps deliver applications at scale and with resiliency to support business initiatives.
The cloud security engineer is expected to possess advanced administrative and troubleshooting skills, and be knowledgeable on architecture, engineering and design principles.
The cloud security engineer must be highly technical and have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in security and systems administration across a wide variety of cloud infrastructure, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
The cloud security engineer needs to know how to implement industry-leading container security tools that meet business needs and take advantage of cloud and container capabilities.
They are expected to be self-starters, have a strong work ethic, leverage analytical and critical thinking and be resourceful in working as part of a global virtual team. The role also requires interfacing with other business units so the candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required skills:
- 5 + years of experience in IT Technology.
- 2+ years of experience in AI / ML with strong working knowledge in neural networks.
- 2+ years of data engineering experience preferably using AWS Glue, Cribl, SignalFx, OpenTelemetry or AWS Lambda
- 2+ years of python coding using numpy, vectorization and Tensorflow.
- 2+ years of experience leading complex enterprise-wide integration programs and efforts as an individual contributor
Preferred Skills:
- Mathematics or physics degree.
- 2+ years of technical knowledge in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to provide strong customer service.
