Job Details

Job Title: Senior SCADA Developer
Location: On-site. Houston, TX
Schedule: 9-hour workdays
Travel: 2–3 trips/year to field sites (Pecos, San Antonio, Southeast OKC)

We are looking for a Senior SCADA Developer to help build and support our SCADA systems. You’ll work with the Ignition platform and use your skills in Python, SQL, and Linux to develop tools, connect field devices, improve data systems, and support operations. This role is key to keeping our automation systems running smoothly, securely, and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience working with large SCADA systems

  • Strong skills in:

    • Ignition SCADA

    • Python, SQL

    • Linux systems

    • Cloud services (Azure) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps)

  • Familiar with SCADA protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, etc.).

  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

  • Team player with good communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Experience optimizing PostgreSQL

  • Understanding of GIS and mapping tools (Leaflet, projections).

  • Familiarity with machine learning for forecasting or anomaly detection.

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
