Job Title: Lead Data Scientist Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

About the Role
As a Lead Data Scientist , you will play a key role in driving data science initiatives that enable strategic decision-making across our business units. You ll work on large-scale data sets, build predictive models, apply advanced analytics, and lead innovative projects involving machine learning, AI, and automation to solve complex business problems in the telecom domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from ideation through deployment.
- Design and build predictive models using supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning algorithms.
- Develop advanced visualizations and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering across structured and unstructured data.
- Automate competitive intelligence and network analytics using NLP, Generative AI, and other modern techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, marketing, and network operations.
- Communicate insights and present findings to executive stakeholders through compelling storytelling.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to data science best practices and model governance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or applied analytics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and familiarity with big data tools like Spark, Hive, and Teradata.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data lakes.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and productionize machine learning pipelines.
- Solid knowledge of statistical analysis, experimental design, and A/B testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master s or PhD in Data Science or a related field.
- Experience with telecom data and KPIs, particularly in wireless networks or geospatial analysis.
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and modern AI tooling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence decisions at senior leadership levels.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
