Job Title: Audit Manager / Staff Auditor
Location: Wisconsin (Local Candidates Only On-Site Fieldwork Required)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager or Staff Auditor to join a dynamic and growing accounting team. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in public accounting and external client audits. You ll be responsible for leading assurance engagements across various industries while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute audits, reviews, compilations, compliance audits, and special projects.
  • Supervise and mentor engagement teams to deliver work on time and within budget.
  • Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and related client communications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and identify additional service opportunities.
  • Implement and interpret new accounting/auditing standards.
  • Support professional development through evaluations and coaching.
  • Lead training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement within the assurance team.
  • Coordinate with oversight agencies and ensure regulatory compliance.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Current CPA license (or CPA-eligible for Staff Auditors).
  • Minimum of 4 years of audit experience in a public accounting
  • Proficiency in GAAP and GAAS standards (GAS experience is a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and client-facing abilities.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and audit/accounting software.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with governmental audits and ERISA audits.
  • Familiarity with industries such as healthcare, real estate, construction, manufacturing, and the arts.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Local candidates only Must be available for on-site fieldwork with clients.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
