Description: Our client is currently seeking an Epic Project Director

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Epic Project Director to lead a large-scale Epic Enterprise Implementation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple Epic implementations across diverse healthcare environments. This role demands strategic leadership, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on project management expertise to ensure timely and successful delivery of Epic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end implementation of Epic Enterprise systems across multiple sites.

Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

Establish and oversee a Project Management Office (PMO) specifically for the Epic implementation, including governance, reporting, and standardization of project practices.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, Epic representatives, and third-party vendors.

Ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance standards, and best practices.

Facilitate executive-level reporting and communication.

Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Oversee change management, training, and go-live support strategies.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare IT project management, with at least 3 Epic Enterprise implementations completed.

Strong understanding of Epic modules and workflows across clinical and administrative domains.

Experience in setting up and managing a PMO for large-scale Epic implementations is strongly preferred.

PMP certification is required.

Epic certifications are a plus but not required.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with large health systems or multi-entity Epic rollouts.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare IT (HIPAA, HITECH).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.epic
