Position: FEA Engineer or Stress Engineer or Structural Engineer (Mechanical)
Fulltime Position
100% Remote

Job Description:

Provide engineering analysis support for hardware departure records of gas turbine engine components.

Develop baseline stress models for rotating equipment (disks, spools, and shafts) by leveraging aircraft engine component design and analysis expertise.

Support evaluation of component failure/distress investigations, and make improvements to new components, and develop repair modifications.

Create standard work processes including design guidelines and specific design methodologies, aligned with aircraft engine industry best practices for stress analysis and lifting of rotating equipment components.

Support supplier development activities and qualifications for designated aeroderivative components for industrialization of repair hardware and new make spares.

Conduct internal reviews and provide recommendations by leveraging in-house expertise in accordance with established aeroderivative processes and best practices. This encompasses the final release of component/assembly definitions, and any critical decisions or trade-offs related to modifications and improvements.

What You Will Bring:

BS in Mechanical or equivalent engineering from an accredited university or college.

10+ years of experience in structural/FEA analysis using ANSYS software.

Experience with Gas turbine engine components finite element modeling and analysis.
