Summary:
Charles River Development (CRD) is the FinTech division of State Street. Together with State Street's Middle and Back-office services, Charles River's cloud-based Front Office technology forms the foundation of the State Street Alpha Platform, the first front-to-back solution in the industry. As the Talend ETL Developer you are responsible for development life cycle leading to successful delivery and support of Vendor Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- As a Talend ETL Developer, you will be responsible for ETL data pipelines development, and is familiar with Snowflake data warehouse, CI/CD deployment Pipelines and data-readiness (data quality) design, development, implementation and address code or data issues.
- As a Java developer you will be hands on with the Spring Boot Microservices work under the guidance from senior team members
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to turn business requirements into working and sustainable software
- Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using Java, SQL, ETL tools
- Participate in code reviews
- Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality end product
- Assist in improving development test methodologies and contribute to related test methodology frameworks
- Conduct manual tests to ensure a high-quality end product
- Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Qualifications:
Education:
- B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in Talend Data Integration and Java Microservices
- Expert knowledge of Talend Studio R2022 and higher is preferred
- Knowledge of Talend Management Console environments, workspaces, connections, plans, and tasks is preferred
- Data warehousing concepts, data modelling and data quality is plus
- Java IDE IntelliJ/Eclipse
- SQL knowledge and debugging skills is a plus
- Experience using Talend reference projects and external Java libraries is a plus
- Experience on Microsoft Azure cloud and Snowflake SQL, database query is a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Azure tooling like Azure Key Vault, Blob Storage, etc. is a plus
- Exposure to the financial domain knowledge is considered a plus
- Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development (CRD) considered a plus
- Experience with Qlik Replicate and Compose tools (Change Data Capture) tools is considered a plus
- Exposure to Third party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI and other Rating agencies is a plus
Salary Range: $70,000 - $115,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
