Who We Are:

We are a newly independent wealth management firm, with approximately $500 million in revenue, recently carved out from a larger parent company and acquired by a leading private equity sponsor. This is a unique opportunity to lead the backbone of our technology environment owning infrastructure, IT operations, enterprise architecture, and service delivery, ensuring that the foundation of technology is secure, resilient, and scalable. They will play a critical role in managing carve-out execution, overseeing enterprise integration, and supporting future M&A.

Summary:

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President of Infrastructure & IT Operations will lead enterprise technology infrastructure and operations, overseeing networks, cloud environments, and end-user computing. This leader will manage vendor partnerships, optimize performance through AI- and automation-enabled support, and ensure cost-effective, resilient services. They will define enterprise architecture standards, drive infrastructure components of carve-out and M&A integration activities and build a high-performing IT operations team. In close partnership with cybersecurity, data, and applications leaders, this role ensures the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable IT services across the organization.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture (Azure, M365, Fabric, Dataverse).
  • Oversee connectivity (SD-WAN, ISP, telephony) and configuration/change management.
  • Ensure continuity planning, monitoring, and disaster recovery are in place.
  • Manage unified Service Desk integrated with HR and other functions.
  • Expand self-service and automation capabilities to streamline employee experience.
  • Oversee IT logistics and end-user device lifecycle.
  • Lead infrastructure separation activities in alignment with carve-out milestones.
  • Develop repeatable playbooks for future acquisitions and integrations.
  • Execute IT vendor strategy (hardware, CSP, MSP, telecom).
  • Drive consolidation, SLA performance, and governance alignment.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity (CISO) for IAM, endpoint security, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, SEC, GDPR, NYDFS).
  • Support Data/AI, Sales/Marketing, Finance, HR, and Legal/Compliance with resilient infrastructure.
  • Build, develop and retain high-performing IT talent through coaching, mentoring, and career development.
  • Support the CTO in creating and building a technology vision that aligns with business objectives.
  • Transition external vendor dependency toward stable in-house capabilities.
  • Leading organizational change and managing large-scale technology transitions with clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
  • Promote accountability, clarity, and operational excellence.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
  • Minimum of 15 years in IT Infrastructure/Operations leadership, including roles at the VP/Sr. Director level.
  • Proven experience with enterprise architecture and carve-out/M&A execution.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, M365, Intune, and modern IT operations.
  • Skilled in vendor management, cost optimization, and risk alignment.
  • Hands-on leader with operational and technical credibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, related field, or relevant experience.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 $175,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
