Oracle/Hyperion EPM Specialist
Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)
This position is responsible for supporting Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications, FDMEE, EDMCS, and ensuring the end user is using the system effectively and assisting Multi-National Finance and FP&A Teams.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Hyperion Planning administration, maintaining and tracking of hierarchy/system updates, regular database maintenance, validation and reconciliation, system security and troubleshooting system issues.
- Strong experience with mapping data and loading in FDMEE from sources (Oracle EBS preferred)
- Help with supporting Oracle EDMCS or experience with DRM for Metadata Management to automate Metadata load to Hyperion Planning applications
- Responsible for the integrity of the Hyperion Planning and Financial Reporting applications.
- Support Finance team with questions relating to the Hyperion systems including actuals, forecasts, budgets, strategic plans, and other reported data.
- Manage metadata by adding and importing dimensions and members
- Set up security for users, groups, and members and Create and customize forms, menus, and task lists
- Partners with business and other systems analysts in agile design for data flow to EPM systems by establishing ETL process using FDMEE and SQL
- Develop various reports (Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View) and web forms as needed by the Financial and Planning Analysis (FP&A) team
- Perform monthly and daily maintenance of Planning applications including the execution and monitoring of extract and load processes
- Troubleshoot end user issues and develop end user training documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years working with Hyperion software
- Experience with ETL design, designing and developing integrations for Hyperion solutions using FDMEE and ODI.
- Knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle database management and ability to write SQL queries
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel (including VBA)
- Bachelor s Degree in MIS, Finance, Accounting or related field required
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving skills
