Network Engineer

Pay: $90,000-$110,000

Overview

This role involves supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure with a focus on connectivity, security, and network design. The position offers a long-term opportunity to work on complex network solutions and collaborate on product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for IP router, switch, and telephony customer premises equipment.
  • Design, configure, and deploy LAN and WAN network connections, hardware, software, and communication links.
  • Optimize network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure service quality.
  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to meet company standards.
  • Support architecture and design of network solutions.
  • Collaborate on product use cases and maintain technical documentation.
  • Occasionally conduct overnight testing with CPE hardware and firmware.

Required Skills

  • 5 to 8 years of experience with Cisco and Juniper routers.
  • Strong knowledge of internetworking designs, routing protocols, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 technologies.
  • Experience with firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Checkpoint NG.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
  • Knowledge of LTE/5G fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with routing, switching, VLANs, and network testing.
  • Experience with automation tools like Python, Ansible, REST APIs.
  • Hardware experience with Cradlepoint, Versa, Cisco, and other enterprise network devices.

Preferred Skills

  • Background with Ericsson and Verizon networks.
  • Experience with NetCloud Manager/Cradlepoint.
  • Knowledge of APIs, scripting, and SDWAN technologies.
  • Familiarity with NGFW/UTM, SASE, Versa, and Cienna.
  • Experience with enterprise network management platforms.
