Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer / SDET with hands-on experience in Backbase platform to join our digital banking team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test frameworks and automated test cases to ensure the quality and performance of our Backbase-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for applications built on the Backbase platform.

  • Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios.

  • Drive test automation using modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Rest Assured, JUnit, TestNG).

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the release process.

  • Perform API testing, UI testing, and backend validation as needed.

  • Ensure end-to-end quality across Backbase widgets, services, and integrations.

  • Proactively identify and report defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.

  • Mentor junior QA engineers and support test engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in QA Automation/SDET roles.

  • Strong experience working with Backbase Digital Banking platform.

  • Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for writing test scripts.

  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API test tools like Postman or Rest Assured.

  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git), build tools (Maven/Gradle), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of banking/financial domain is preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
