Position Summary

As a Cloud Automation Engineer at CVS, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to manage and provision cloud infrastructure across various cloud platforms, utilizing scripting languages and automation tools to streamline cloud operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and reducing manual intervention while maintaining security and compliance standards. The position will require a working knowledge of several automation tools including (but not limited to) Ansible and Terraform, Cloud platforms and a deep understanding of SDLC principles and IaaS.

Required Qualifications

Expert experience in at least 1 of the automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)

Experience with API development

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, Jenkins, GH Actions)

A minimum of 5 years of software development experience

A minimum of 5 years experience in Cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS)

Knowledge of Python and/or Powershell

Knowledge of Agile frameworks

Day-To-Day Responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain automation scripts to provision, configure, and manage cloud resources like virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, storage, networks, and databases across different cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Supporting other teams in the IaC program

Become proficient in all automation tools

Part of an on-call rotation that will require some off hours work

Write and maintain documentation for our automation tools and products

Preferred Qualifications

Kubernetes -- ArgoCD Cert-Manager, Istio, Crossplane

Pipeline Tech - Open Policy agent, Github Actions, Javascript, Jenkins

Core Engine - Expert Terraform experience, Docusaurus, Bash, Go

Cloud - Networking and Firewall, Storage, Native services

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Development or related work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
