Location: 100% Remote - USA

We are looking for a Data Scientist to work across a variety of services, including music, app distribution, cloud storage, digital books, payments, and more. This role will sit on the Services Digital Marketing team and will focus on uncovering insights to optimize marketing strategies and products, as well as monitoring external brand relevancy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of statistics, machine learning techniques, and digital marketing data, and will be able to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data-driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms, machine learning models, and large language models to improve campaign performance, identify trends, and optimize products.
  • Assess business needs and translate model outputs into tangible, actionable findings and reports for both marketing and product teams.
  • Produce performance benchmarks across various digital marketing channels by evaluating both internal and competitor performance.
  • Create, maintain, and automate content taxonomies for use in attribution analyses.
  • Develop and maintain data analytics dashboards.
  • Communicate and present findings to key stakeholders in clear, impactful ways.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 7 years of experience manipulating data sets and using statistical models to extract insights and visualize them for stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of statistics.
  • Ability to code in SQL and Python or R to work with large data sets.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision trees, artificial neural networks, regression, classification).
  • Experience building custom data models and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing data (Social, SEO, Paid).
  • Experience creating data visualizations using programming languages and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Python).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate methodologies and results to both technical and creative audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with engineering data pipelines.
  • Proficiency with code collaboration/version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Proficiency in Mandarin.
