Job Details
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering the successful candidate an opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects. If you are passionate about mechanical engineering, have a deep understanding of thermodynamics, and experience in HVAC design and plumbing, this is the perfect role for you. With over five years of experience in a senior role, you will be expected to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our company.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, ensuring all designs meet required standards and specifications.
2. Oversee the creation of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and other mechanical components, ensuring they are designed and installed correctly.
3. Use your knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to solve complex engineering problems.
4. Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and project managers to plan and execute projects efficiently.
5. Maintain and improve existing engineering processes and practices.
6. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
7. Conduct performance reviews of mechanical systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
8. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or other advanced qualifications would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in a senior mechanical engineering role.
3. Extensive experience in HVAC design and installation.
4. A deep understanding of thermodynamics and its application in mechanical engineering.
5. Proven experience in plumbing system design and implementation.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of successfully leading projects and teams.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
8. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members at all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
10. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
