Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or another relevant field.
Required Experience:
3-5+ years in software quality assurance with at least 1-2 years in automotive software.
Experience in MQTT, CAN, and LIN communication protocols.
Experience in test automation using: Cypress, Selenium, Python, C++, or similar tools
Proficient in manual testing of embedded vehicle software, mobile apps, and web platforms.
Hands-on experience with OTA (Over-The-Air) update testing and vehicle telematics validation.
Preferred Skills:
Strong knowledge of web automation, manual testing, and software test life cycle.
Comprehensive knowledge of writing tests for RESTful APIs.
Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., GitHub), bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and test management tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to quickly adapt to changes in business strategy to help business partners communicate solution value to key stakeholders.
Start-up environment experience is beneficial.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel as needed for networking events, conferences, and trade shows, and business activities, etc.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Fastport business venture team. The role of this individual will be to support the test coverage across cloud services, middleware, and vehicle connectivity strategies. Key responsibilities include supporting the creation of automated and manual test cases to execute upon baseline releases.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop advanced automated test suites using object-oriented methodologies and industry-standard tools
Test REST APIs used by mobile and web apps to communicate with backend vehicle systems.
Collaborate with the various other cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with overall test strategies.
Document defects clearly and support root cause analysis by providing logs and reproduction steps.
Participate in release validation, OTA update testing, and vehicle testing
Perform end-to-end testing across different platforms, including upstream and downstream dependent systems.
Work Environment:
Onsite Requirement - 80% onsite
