Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Oracle Fusion ERP Implementation Project. This role serves as the on-site lead, providing full-time, in-person leadership, coordination, and oversight of all implementation activities. The Project Director will ensure successful delivery of the Oracle Fusion ERP solution in alignment with goals, timelines, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, serving as a primary on-site point of accountability.
- Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for coordinating all ERP workstreams.
- Direct and coordinate the work with internal project managers, technical staff, subject matter experts, and external implementation partners.
- Manage the overall project plan, including schedule, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
- Ensure strong governance, decision-making, and communication across all ERP functional and technical workstreams.
- Act as the representative in all interactions with the Oracle Fusion Implementor, ensuring contractual obligations and all the requirements are met.
- Oversee critical project components, including:
- Testing readiness and execution
- Data conversion planning and validation
- Security role design and review
- Cutover planning and go-live readiness
- Lead on-site project meetings, workshops, and status reviews with leadership and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver regular executive-level status reports, including progress, risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations.
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration to resolve issues, manage change, and maintain alignment.
- Proactively identify project risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Provide hands-on leadership during go-live and post-go-live stabilization to support a smooth transition to operational use.
- Support post-implementation stabilization, decision-making, and transition to long-term operational support models.
Required Qualifications - Proven experience serving as a Project Director, Program Manager, or similar leadership role for large-scale ERP implementations.
- Direct experience leading Oracle Fusion ERP implementations, preferably in a public sector or government environment.
- Strong project management expertise, including schedule, risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-department teams and coordinate with external system integrators.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and governing bodies.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in complex, high-visibility projects.
