What You Bring to the Table
- BS degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering)
- 2-4 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with AMS specifications and welding processes
- Internal auditing experience
- IPC-A-610/620 certification
- Prior experience working with DoD electromechanical products
- Strong knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Experience in ISO9001 or AS9100 environments
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our quality team, you'll ensure our products meet rigorous industry standards and customer expectations. In this role, you will:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electromechanical components, textiles, and composites in an AS9100-certified environment.
- Verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and test requirements.
- Support First Article Inspections in compliance with AS9102.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Material Review Boards (MRB) and drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA) processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection data and supplier documentation for customer distribution.
- Participate in internal audits, support the Quality Management System (QMS), and contribute to CMMI and AS9100 initiatives.
- Assist with procedure and work instruction development.
- Support source inspections (minimal travel <10%).
