About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Billing Tester with a strong background in Energy & Utilities and hands-on experience working with Customer/1 (C1) billing systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing end-to-end testing across billing cycles, rate configurations, and meter-to-cash processes.
Responsibilities
Perform functional, SIT, and UAT testing for Customer/1 billing modules
Execute billing run validations, rate changes, adjustments, cancellations, reversals & rebills
Validate Meter-to-Cash (M2C) business processes including billing, collections, payment processing, refunds & disputes
Review business requirements, write test scenarios, test scripts, and expected results
Work closely with Business, QA, and Billing Operations teams to identify defects and drive resolution
Perform SQL queries for backend data checks and billing data validation
Document test outcomes, defects, and provide daily status reporting
Required Skills
10+ years of Billing Testing experience
Hands-on experience with Customer/1 (C1) billing system (Mandatory)
Strong understanding of Energy/Utility billing processes
Experience with Meter-to-Cash cycles, rates, tariffs, billing adjustments
Proficiency with SQL, JIRA / HP ALM or similar test management tools
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
