Job Details

Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Work Type: 100% ONSITE LOCAL candidates only (within 50 miles)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze priority program initiatives and special projects using best business analysis practices.

  • Gather, research, assess, and document data requirements across multiple DSHS units.

  • Assist with optimization of DSHS operational functions and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Develop data analysis tools, models, and frameworks to support organizational decision-making.

  • Create and maintain as-is / to-be data models; identify gaps and opportunities for operational efficiency.

  • Acquire data from various sources, perform advanced trend analysis, and build clear, meaningful reports.

  • Develop metadata, data tables, and user-friendly interfaces for business reporting.

  • Use advanced reporting tools to design dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical insights.

  • Support SDLC activities: gap analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, design artifacts, test cases, etc.

  • Lead or support special initiatives assigned by leadership and coordinate project activities.
