Workday Integration Technical Architect
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 12 Months
We are seeking a Workday Technical Architect to design and guide the technical evolution of our Workday platform across HCM and Finance domains. This role ensures system performance, security, and seamless integrations, while providing expert leadership for AMS and enhancement projects. You will serve as the technical authority for integrations, Workday Extend, Prism, and security frameworks delivering innovative and scalable solutions that support enterprise needs.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for system and integration issues in AMS support.
 - Lead end-to-end design and governance of Workday integrations, APIs, and reporting architecture.
 - Oversee data flows between Workday and external systems using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services.
 - Partner with functional leads to manage Workday bi-annual release readiness and regression testing.
 - Ensure adherence to Workday technical governance, coding standards, and change control processes.
 - Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvements for system stability and efficiency.
 - Review and enhance Workday Security Groups, Access Controls, and data privacy compliance (GDPR, SOX).
 - Mentor developers and analysts, providing technical reviews and performance guidance.
 - Evaluate new Workday tools, such as Extend, Prism, and Orchestrate, for adoption opportunities.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
 - 8+ years of Workday experience, with at least 3 years in technical architecture or lead integration roles.
 - Workday Integration certifications required (Studio, PECI, PICOF).
 - Hands-on expertise in Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, and XSLT.
 - Experience managing multi-country tenants and sensitive data.
 - Knowledge of Workday Security, Calculated Fields, and Custom Reports.
 - Experience in Prism Analytics, Extend, or Orchestrate is preferred.
 - Familiarity with Agile and ITIL-based AMS delivery processes.
