Job Description

Role: SAP Data Migration Architect

Location: Remote (Must be ok to travel around US)

Duration: 4-6mo

we're seeking a Data Migration Architect/Lead who can guide complex data conversion initiatives for a variety of clients in industries such as fueling solutions, service, manufacturing, retail, life sciences, and the public sector.

12+ years of SAP experience-including hands-on knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA-to migrate data from legacy systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, PeopleSoft, etc.) into new SAP environments. You'll be at the forefront of orchestrating rollouts, global templates, mergers/acquisitions, and large-scale transformation projects.

  • Drive technical execution using LSMW, Data Migration Cockpit, SQL, and other tools.
  • Coordinate both master and transactional data migration activities.
  • Manage teams and mentor junior consultants, offering strategic direction and best practices.
  • Collaborate heavily with clients, ensuring accurate requirements gathering, scope alignment, and risk mitigation.
  • Assess resource loading based on data object complexity, providing realistic schedules and plans.


Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on background in ECC and S/4HANA data migration, plus familiarity with leading migration utilities and frameworks (ASAP, SAP Activate, or hybrid).
  • Leadership & Management: Proven ability to organize data conversion efforts, lead diverse teams (including offshore/distributed members), and provide clear communication to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and analytical thinking.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field required; SAP certifications (S/4HANA, Activate) or advanced credentials (PMP, MBA) are a plus.
