Job Title: Sr. SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET with strong expertise in automation testing across UI, Web Services, Mobile, and Accessibility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, accessibility testing tools, and strong programming knowledge.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, mobile, and web services testing.

  • Perform accessibility testing using assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and tools (e.g., Wave, Axe, CCA).

  • Validate compliance with global accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA.

  • Implement mobile test automation using Appium.

  • Build and execute automated tests for web services (e.g., using SoapUI).

  • Develop and optimize test cases using Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD frameworks.

  • Write and maintain complex SQL/PL-SQL queries for backend/database validation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Waterfall environments.

  • Contribute to architectural design discussions for test frameworks.

  • Ensure testing strategies are scalable, reliable, and efficient.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 8-10 years in a technical discipline; at least 5 years in automated software testing and framework development.

  • Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Design and programming languages (Java, JavaScript, SQL/PL-SQL).

  • Hands-on experience with UI automation (Selenium, Cucumber, BDD).

  • Proficiency in Mobile Test Automation (Appium).

  • Experience in Web Services automation (SoapUI or similar tools).

  • Strong database knowledge with proven ability to write complex queries (MS SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).

  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mainframe) and technologies (.NET, Web).

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies (Agile & Waterfall).

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and deliver in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.


Accessibility Testing Expertise

  • Experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).

  • Strong understanding of keyboard navigation, focus management, and input accessibility.

  • Knowledge of document accessibility testing (PDF, Excel).

  • Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and accessibility best practices.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GenAI-based automated testing tools.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Advanced problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.


Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.

  • In lieu of a degree: 4 additional years of relevant experience.
