Are you passionate about power systems and looking to make a significant impact in the field of protective relaying and control systems? ENSTURST Solutions Group has an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic National Substation team! This position will be act as an Owners Engineer (OE) for a client in Allentown, PA.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead responsible engineer for oversight of Engineer of Choice (EOC) substation design projects, including physical/electrical and protection/control design.
  • Coordinate information among all functional groups and EOCs, including but not limited to SCADA, Protection, Standards, Civil Engineering.
  • Provide feedback from the owner's perspective on the measure of quality for EOCs.
  • Provide oversight, quality assurance and review of design and engineering packages and deliverables.
  • Ensure engineering design packages utilize clients established standards and specifications, proper protection schemes, substation layouts, electrical configurations, etc.
  • Support development of engineering scopes of work, schedules and estimates.
  • Provide support for the procurement of major long-lead equipment required for project execution; support material procurement for assigned projects in clients INFOR system.
  • Coordinate with client work groups in response to Requests For Information (RFIs) during development, engineering and construction.
  • Work closely with Project and Contract Management to ensure engineering provides a safe, cost-effective, constructable design which meets all deliverables.
  • Participate in and develop lessons learned and post-project continuous learning documentation.

Required Qualifications:
  • P&C substation engineer with at least ten years of experience.
  • Senior level electrical engineer with the ability to interact with clients to accurately interpret technical requirements based on the information provided.
  • Must have experience with protective relaying system modifications and/or additions.
  • Must have a PE.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
