Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to provide direct technical expertise, support, and oversight of the Airport's IT department systems. The IT Asset Coordinator/Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with various departments to ensure efficient asset management. to actively manage these systems while maintaining maximum operational readiness and life cycle value. Become familiar with the basics of the organization's Environmental Management System & Environmental Policy and implement Best Management & Good Housekeeping Practices.
Required Experience (3+ years):
- Experience in IT asset management.
- Experience in ServiceNow Hardware and Software Asset Management.
- Experience with asset tracking and documentation.
- Experience with IT procurement and allocation.
- Experience with IT equipment maintenance and upkeep.
- Experience with IT equipment disposal and decommissioning.
- Experience with IT equipment vendor management.
- Experience with IT equipment reporting and analytics.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of equivalent work experience may replace a degree.
Preferred Certification:
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Responsibilities:
Asset Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including computers, servers, networking equipment, software licenses, and peripherals.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of asset records and identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement and IT teams to purchase new IT assets as needed.
- Allocate assets to users or departments based on organizational needs and priorities.
- Create and maintain detailed records and documentation for each IT asset, including specifications, purchase dates, warranty information, and disposal records.
- Implement a standardized asset tagging system to facilitate tracking.
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs for IT assets.
- Ensure software licenses are up to date and compliance is maintained.
- Develop and execute processes for the proper disposal and decommissioning of obsolete or retired IT assets.
- Ensure data security protocols are followed during asset disposal.
- Liaise with IT vendors and service providers to manage warranties, service agreements, and vendor relationships.
- Generate regular reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle management for IT management and stakeholders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimization strategies.
- Ensure adherence to IT asset management policies and best practices.
- Help develop and update IT asset management policies as needed.
