Description

SAIC is seeking a highly motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join a dynamic and mission oriented Research & Development team. Candidate will be responsible for developing a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline in coordination with international DevOps and Security teams. Candidate will be responsible for application Build & Release process which includes Code Compilation, Packaging, Security Scanning and Code Quality Scanning, Deployment Methodology and Application Configurations.
Candidate will work closely with DevOps teams and therefore should have an understanding of popular programming languages, like Java, JavaScript, Groovy or Python. Additional familiarity with popular CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, NexSonarqube and Spinnaker, is important.

Candidate will interface with internal cloud provisioning teams and commercial cloud providers.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Must be DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (e.g. current CompTIA, Security+ certification)
  • BS in Computer Science or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing and deploying artifacts and applications
  • Familiarity with one or more of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity controls, scans, and remediation of findings
  • Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team as well as cloud service providers

Desired:
  • Hands-on experience working in the field of DevOps
  • Understanding programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, PHP, and Ruby
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and threat modeling techniques
  • Kubernetes design, deployment, operations, and sustainment
  • Project Management Tools (e.g. Atlassian Suite, GitLab, GitHub, etc.)
  • Cloud Monitoring Tools (e.g. AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor/Sentinel, OCI Monitor, etc.)
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g. Apache Guacamole, Amazon Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with customer contact and collaboration, design, implementation, and participation in project planning
  • Experience preparing technical documentation
  • Experience with tools and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation)
