Position Summary:
The Bill of Material (BOM) Engineer plays a critical role in managing ERP master data and supporting the full lifecycle of custom-engineered products. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Production, Continuous Improvement, Purchasing, and Sales to ensure the accurate creation, routing, and maintenance of BOMs within the Epicor ERP system. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a technical, detail-oriented environment with direct exposure to senior leadership, including the COO and CEO.

What You ll Do as our Bill of Material Engineer:

  • Build and maintain Epicor Item Master and BOM records from engineering CAD data
  • Enter data into the ERP system including raw material calculations, unit conversions, and templates for custom offerings
  • Ensure accuracy through routine audits of ERP entries
  • Interpret blueprints to develop shop routes
  • Prepare production documentation and job packets
  • Collaborate with engineers to generate approval prints, design plans, and technical communications
  • Create and update design specifications, BOMs, and engineering change orders (ECOs)
  • Review engineering change requests and update system configurations accordingly
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, sales, and project management teams
  • Work with AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support manufacturing and design efforts
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of BOM and drawing standards across projects
  • Manage multiple projects and meet strict client deadlines

What You ll Bring to the Table as our Bill of Material Engineer:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Epicor ERP or similar ERP systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA) and 2D/3D modeling
  • Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, material selection, and manufacturing workflows
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
