Job Details

An innovative government contractor is currently hiring a mid-level UI/UX Designer. This is a contract to hire position working on a new project for the DoD and will be hybrid onsite. You would be onsite 2 days a week in Manassas.

As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for both the design and development of their digital platforms. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to create intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces. Your ability to translate design concepts into working code is essential to delivering high-quality web and mobile applications. You must either have or be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance.
Contract Duration: 6 months to hire

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both design and coding skills, including web and mobile projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Marvel).
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand user needs, goals, and pain points.
  • Conduct user research, create personas, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Create and maintain UI/UX design systems and design documents to ensure consistency across products.
  • Design with accessibility and usability in mind, ensuring optimal user experiences.
  • Perform user testing and iterate on designs based on feedback and data.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems, and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Proficient in creating wireframes, mockups, user flows, and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Ability to turn complex user requirements into simple, engaging designs and functional interfaces.
  • Ability to balance aesthetic design with technical feasibility.
  • Familiarity with back-end technologies or full-stack development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
