MUST HAVE
SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) workstream, dedicated project track focusing on managing the entire sales, order processing, and distribution lifecycle within an SAP implementation, covering activities from customer order entry, pricing, shipping (delivery), to invoicing, ensuring seamless integration with other modules like MM (Materials Management) and FI/CO (Finance/Controlling). This stream involves business analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and user training, with key roles like functional consultants and stream leads guiding the process to meet business needs.
Key Components & Activities
Sales Order Management: Handling customer orders, availability checks, pricing.
Delivery Management: Creating delivery documents, picking, packing, goods issue.
Billing/Invoicing: Generating invoices from deliveries or orders, linking to finance.
Master Data: Managing customer, material, and pricing data within SD.
Process Integration: Working with MM (procurement), FI/CO (finance), and Warehouse Management (WM).
Role in an SAP Project
Parallel Tracks: Runs alongside other workstreams (like Technical, Finance, HR) in large projects.
Functional Focus: Deals with business processes, not coding, requiring strong business understanding.
Stakeholder Engagement: Involves working with clients, key users, and cross-functional teams.
