Job Title: Data Engineer with SQl Server, ADF, SSRI

Location: Anywhere in the USA (Remote)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data integration and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and SSRS, with the ability to design efficient ETL pipelines and deliver actionable insights through reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Build and optimize data pipelines to support analytics and business reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
  • Create, modify, and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Implement and maintain data quality checks, data governance, and documentation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across ETL and reporting systems.
  • Work with Azure cloud services for data storage, transformation, and orchestration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design, optimization, and T-SQL programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Proficiency in SSRS for report development and deployment.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources and systems.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Power BI or other BI visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Data Lake.
  • Exposure to Python or Scala for data transformation tasks.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
