Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Cable Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a customer-facing environment and is skilled in solution validation within the Service Provider space, specifically in the Cable segment. The Cable Engineer will play a crucial role in engaging with customers to successfully plan and execute validation engagements, ensuring the seamless implementation of new platforms and solutions. This position is full-time and requires a candidate who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders to drive project success.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to plan and execute solution validation engagements.
  • Support the implementation of new platforms and solutions for Service Provider customers, focusing on the Cable segment.
  • Analyze test requirements, design lab configurations, and develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute detailed test plans and document the results to ensure solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and address key issues and gaps, collaborating with engineering and delivery teams for resolution.
  • Innovate processes to enhance efficiency and accelerate the validation efforts.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Sales teams to align solutions with customer needs.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with MSOs or equivalent experience in cable platforms.
  • Expertise in DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) with at least 5 years of applied experience.
  • Experience with Remote PHY technology is preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in RF (Radio Frequency) principles.
  • Proficiency in IOS-XE and familiarity with network operating systems.
  • Experience utilizing network test tools such as Ixia/KeySight is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
