Job Title: Database Administrator (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS FISMA Compliance)
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled maintenance (backups, patches, updates, optimization).
- Monitor and tune performance; automate tasks using scripts.
- Maintain documentation and participate in change management.
- Conduct data integrity checks and capacity planning.
- Implement database security policies, manage user access, and perform vulnerability assessments.
- Maintain FISMA compliance (encryption, access logging, audit trails).
- Design and test backup/recovery with documented RTO/RPO.
- Support application teams with troubleshooting and performance issues.
- Provide incident response and vendor coordination during database issues.
- 3 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL in AWS.
- Proficiency in SQL, tuning, and optimization.
- Strong experience with backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery.
- Knowledge of database monitoring tools.
- Security experience (encryption, access controls, vulnerability remediation).
- Familiarity with FISMA standards and federal compliance.
- Change management and incident response experience.
Security Clearance: Must obtain and maintain Moderate Risk (MBI) clearance.
