You'll drive the end-to-end delivery of value by ensuring seamless collaboration across multiple teams, managing the flow of work, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. job type: Contract

salary: $70 - 80 per hour

work hours: 9am to 5pm

  • Facilitate PI Planning: Prepare for and facilitate the two-day, in-person Program Increment (PI) planning event, ensuring logistics are managed, the ART backlog is ready, and teams are aligned with enterprise strategy and objectives.
  • Support PI Execution: Track progress and key metrics (velocity, cycle time, etc.), facilitate synchronization events like the ART Sync and System Demo, and promote DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
  • Coach the ART: Serve as a coach and mentor to the ART, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other key roles, helping them adopt Lean-Agile practices and improve their effectiveness through powerful questioning.
  • Optimize Flow: Establish pull systems and flow measures to improve the delivery of value across the ART, and facilitate value stream mapping to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and cross-team dependencies.
  • Improve Relentlessly: Drive the ART's relentless improvement plan by facilitating Inspect & Adapt events and using tools like AgilityInsights TeamHealth Assessments to foster a culture of built-in quality.
  • Act as a Servant Leader: Listen to and support teams, promote mutual influence and empathy, and encourage the personal and professional development of individuals and teams. You will be the face of the ART, requiring comfort with public speaking in front of large audiences.

  • Certifications: The SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) 6.0 certification is a mandatory requirement. Additionally, a candidate must possess the Scaled Agile Practice Consultant (SPC) 6.0 and AgilityInsights Facilitator certifications.
  • Industry/Technology Experience: While not explicitly listed with a minimum number of years, typical RTEs have a strong background in Agile methodologies and have often served in roles such as Scrum Master or Agile Coach. Experience with Agile project management tools like JIRA or Rally is also essential. A key requirement is having launched or participated in at least one Agile Release Train (ART) and one Program Increment (PI), demonstrating a practical understanding of SAFe principles.
