Job Title: Commercial SME Life Sciences (Data & Analytics)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong Life Sciences domain knowledge and data engineering / analytics leadership experience. This role will act as the bridge between commercial business stakeholders and technical data teams, driving data-driven solutions across Sales, Marketing, Incentive Compensation, Patient Data, LAAD, and Claims.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Domain Leadership

Serve as the primary SME for Life Sciences commercial operations, covering Sales, Marketing, Incentive Compensation (IC), Patient Data Management, LAAD, and Claims.

Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of commercial business processes aligned with enterprise goals.

Translate complex commercial requirements into actionable data and analytics solutions.

Data Engineering & Technical Leadership

Lead data engineering initiatives within the Azure ecosystem.

Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and Synapse.

Integrate diverse commercial datasets including Sales, Marketing, Claims, Patient, and LAAD data.

Apply SQL and Python to build, manage, and optimize data pipelines and analytical models.

Partner with IT, Data Science, and Business Operations teams for seamless data integration.

BI, Reporting & Analytics

Design and deliver BI dashboards and executive-level reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Define KPIs and performance metrics for Sales, Marketing, IC, and Claims.

Enable data-driven decision-making for senior commercial leadership.

Life Sciences & Compliance

Apply deep knowledge of Life Sciences commercial analytics, including sales performance, marketing effectiveness, IC, patient-centric data, and claims.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and 21 CFR Part 11.

Provide leadership in managing and leveraging Longitudinal Access and Adjudication Data (LAAD).

Data Governance & Strategy

Contribute to data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.

Drive data standardization, integration, and best practices across commercial functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience

8+ years of Life Sciences commercial operations experience.

5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.

Proven success delivering enterprise-scale data solutions for commercial functions.

Technical Skills

Azure Data Services: Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure SQL, Synapse

Strong SQL and Python

Data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data lake architectures

BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent

Domain Expertise

Sales, Marketing, Incentive Compensation (IC)

Patient Data Management

Claims & LAAD

Strong understanding of Life Sciences regulatory requirements
