The Data Visualization Core team owns the creation of our interactive visualizations ( and ) across our web application. We are a platform team, building and maintaining our visualizations to be widely reusable without making compromises on the end user experience. We're looking for a leader that can bring technical leadership and data visualization expertise to identify and prioritize challenging problems with a cross functional approach. You'll be working closely with Product Managers, Design Managers and Engineers facing new challenges helping their customers understand & monitor their cloud environment.

The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role at Datadog is:
$187,000-$240,000 USD

What You'll Do:
- Manage a team of 5-8 Dataviz-focused frontend Engineers (from entry-level to Senior)
- Mentor, coach and provide feedback on technical project execution
- Manage career development for our Engineering team
- Build and maintain a roadmap in conjunction with our PMs and partner teams
- Oversee staffing, execution and code quality for Data Visualization projects
Who You Are:
- You have 2+ years of experience leading an Engineering team and have shipped successful products
- You have solid frontend dev skills (Javascript, Typescript, react)
- You have some experience with graphics or dataviz programming (D3, Canvas, WebGL)
- You have experience working with large datasets and visualizations
- You're comfortable working on a loosely defined problem space, with a strong R&D culture leading to concrete results
- You can create an Engineering culture where teams can thrive and produce their best work
