Position: Software Engineer, Senior
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 12 MOnth Contract to Hire

Job Overview:
The Software Engineer Senior will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and growth within the Banking Solutions, Payments, and Capital Markets business. This position requires a hands-on approach to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications and services. The candidate will focus on customer-centric innovation, automation, and operational excellence, contributing to the organization's leadership in the competitive banking, payments, and investment landscape.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain monitoring solutions and alerting mechanisms for infrastructure, application performance, and user experience metrics.
  • Implement automation tools and processes to streamline routine tasks, scale infrastructure, and ensure seamless deployments and updates.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimized performance of applications and services.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including identification, triage, resolution, and post-incident analysis.
  • Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization to meet scalability goals.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage deployment pipelines, release processes, and configuration management for application deployments.
  • Identify areas for improvement in reliability, performance, and efficiency through data analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for operational procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to align on reliability goals and incident response processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in development technologies, architectures, and platforms (web, API).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog) and logging frameworks (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
  • Strong incident management skills, including triage, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Expertise in setting up monitoring solutions and creating dashboards for system performance and user experience.
  • Familiarity with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and RUM (Real User Monitoring) tools.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Adaptability to evolving requirements and a focus on driving continuous improvement.

Pay Range: $55-$60/hr W2
