ROAD WARRIOR NEEDED - Travel Heavy: Up to 75% in Year 1
Compensation: Base around $200Ks + 20 25% bonus + long-term equity value (GPUs)
About the Role
A global manufacturing leader in the aerospace sector is seeking a Vice President of Business Unit IT to lead technology strategy and execution across multiple sites. Reporting to the CIO, this VP will drive business-aligned IT strategy within a decentralized environment, serving as the primary IT leader for multiple business units across the U.S.
This role is ideal for a low-ego, high-capability IT executive who thrives in matrixed environments and knows how to balance autonomy with corporate alignment. You ll be empowered to lead strategy, oversee infrastructure, and manage complex initiatives - all while building strong partnerships with Group Presidents and corporate IT.
What You'll Do
- Lead all IT functions within your assigned business units
- Translate corporate IT standards into actionable business unit plans
- Partner with leadership to align IT priorities with business objectives
- Manage decentralized IT teams, budgets, applications, infrastructure, and vendors
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance and risk management
- Drive performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Bachelor s degree required; Master s preferred
- 10+ years in IT leadership with 5+ years in decentralized environments
- Experience in manufacturing required; aerospace a strong plus
- Skilled in IT governance, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration
- Comfortable in a mid-sized company (~2,000 employees) environment ideally with both private equity and public company exposure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across functions and levels
