Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead quality initiatives in a dynamic electronics manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee compliance with ISO and UL standards, ensuring products meet both internal and external quality expectations. You will manage quality audits, certifications, and inspections, while collaborating closely with manufacturing teams, leadership, and external auditors.

This position offers the opportunity to directly influence product reliability and compliance, while mentoring a team of quality professionals. You will be instrumental in driving process improvements and embedding a culture of quality ownership across the organization.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, UL, and customer requirements.

  • Lead UL certification efforts (UL 94, UL 508A, etc.) for components and finished products.

  • Prepare for and execute internal, external, and customer audits.

  • Oversee inspections of PCBs, electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal parts.

  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and compliance records.

  • Investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

  • Track and report quality metrics such as yield, defect rates, and returns.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor QA team members to strengthen quality culture and performance.


Required Experience/Skills

  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience in electronics (PCBA manufacturing), with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 practices and standards.

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
  • Experience with ISO 9001 practices and standards.

  • Strong knowledge of UL certifications (UL 94, UL 508A).

  • Proficiency with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600) and RoHS compliance.

  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and CAPA.

  • Experience inspecting precision sheet metal assemblies.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of DMT/DFR processes and RMA handling.


Nice-to-Haves

  • CQA certification (Certified Quality Auditor).

  • Familiarity with ERP and QMS software.

  • Experience in high-reliability electronics manufacturing.


Education

  • Degree in Quality Management or a related technical field preferred, but not required.


Pay & Benefits Summary

  • Annual salary: $75,000 – $85,000, depending on experience.
