ASSYST is seeking a skilled Business Process Consultant to support our client in Tallahassee, Florida.
Location: Tallahassee, Florida Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099) Position: Onsite, No Remote Work Allowed.
Job Description
- Lead Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Create key business analysis documents including As-Is and To-Be process models.
- Recommend and implement business process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Maintain project documentation in compliance with PMO standards and Florida Administrative Code (Rule 60GG-1).
- Act as a liaison between users, stakeholders, and IT, managing expectations and providing executive briefings.
- Support project coordination and ensure quality and integrity of project deliverables.
Required Skills
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience; Business Analysis Certification (IIBA or PMI) required.
- Minimum 5 years as an IT Business Analyst with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Skilled in requirements analysis, business process modelling, user stories, and documentation of IT system requirements.
- Proven ability to coordinate teams, facilitate meetings, and communicate effectively across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel) and experienced in preparing status reports and management briefings.
- Preferred experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau), data analysis (SQL, Python, R), project management software (JIRA, Trello), and familiarity with SDLC.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; government project experience is a plus.
