Job Details

Infrastructure Support Engineer - MFT Duration: 3 years Contract
Location: 100% Remote

Notes from the call on 1/7:
Opening on team because someone is retiring.
Need contractor to have integration experience - supporting an enterprise platform with MFT and they use Go Anywhere (current version) and File Gateway.
80% of the contractors time will be spent supporting the system
This role is more Infrastructure focused - no much development
They would use Python for the limited dev hat they some DevOps
Needs a contractor who is not timid or afraid to ask questions - most the current team is quiet.
They use Ansible on the team.
ServiceNow would be a big plus to have.
There are currently two contractors and two FTE's on the team.
Hybrid is the preference, but open to remote only candidates.

Qualifications:
4-6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as an IT professional. Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus.
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred.
Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required.
Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language.
Basic leadership skills preferred. Excellent time management skills preferred.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both It and non-IT partners. Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
May be required to provide on-call support.

Responsibilities:
Able to work with guidance on software development/solutions.
With guidance, conduct analysis and development, elicit requirements, write correct and clean coding, automated testing, debugging, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance.
Able to work with guidance on multiple layers of the solution if needed. Participates in technical design of features
