Principal Engineer, System Security Architect

Responsibilities: Audit system architecture and high-level designs prior to execution by the Development team to ensure designs minimize or eliminate the security vulnerability of Landis+Gyr's ("L+G") products, solutions, and services. Ensure best practices and technical due diligence with selection of HW and SW components used as part of L+G products, solutions, and services. Oversee implementation of L+G security components in each of the company's products, applying knowledge of product integration and solution offerings related to cyber security for critical infrastructure. Translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into functional specifications and interface descriptions. Create technical concepts and specifications together with senior engineers from Firmware, Software, Electronics, Metrology, Mechanical, and Testing teams and support project teams during implementation and testing phases. Serve as internal subject matter expert in the areas of IT / cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS), HW/SW threat analysis, Security compliance process implementation / governance (i.e. SOC 2, ISO 27001), and Application Security Testing Tools and Techniques.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in software architecture. Experience must include five (5) years each of the following: product architecture for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Head End System; architecting product to incorporate security features; and integrating third party security solutions into products. Security certification such as CISSP or CCSP. Experience may be gained concurrently.
