Lead Integration Architect SAP Integration Suite

Role Overview

As the Lead Integration Architect, you ll lead the design, development, and governance of SAP integrations using SAP Integration Suite (and CPI/IS/PI/PO), working with ERP and non-ERP systems. You ll drive adoption of SAP s middleware platform and standardize integration practices across the organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop complex integrations between SAP (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC) and various business applications (e.g., ERP, CPQ, PLM, Commerce) .
  • Lead a team of SAP integration specialists providing technical oversight, guidance, and review.
  • Drive adoption and best-practice implementation of SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Gateway, Event Mesh, Cloud Connector, Open Connectors, JMS, Alerting, etc.)
  • Oversee migration projects from legacy middlewares (e.g., SAP PI/PO, WebMethods, MuleSoft) to Integration Suite
  • Partner closely with project teams, SAP, and 3rd-party vendors to resolve design and technical issues end-to-end .
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to enterprise-grade quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10 15+ years of SAP integration experience.
  • At least 10 years with SAP PI/PO and SAP Integration Suite, including CPI/IS.
  • Minimum 5 years specific experience with CPI/SAP Integration Suite (API-led architecture, advanced events, etc.)
  • Proven experience migrating integrations from PI/PO or other middleware to CPI.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP services: API Gateway, Event Mesh, Open Connectors, Cloud Connector, JMS Queues, Dashboard Reporting, and Alerting

  • Excellent communication presenting technical architectures to global stakeholders.
  • Agile mindset and familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices within SAP contexts.
