JD:
We are seeking an experienced professional to take a hands-on role in driving SAP and third-party tax engine integrations (OneSource/Vertex). The role requires strong technical expertise, deep business process knowledge, and the ability to lead tax integration projects while collaborating with business leaders, vendors, and system integrators.
Roles & Responsibilities
Apply functional and technical knowledge of SAP and third-party tax engines (OneSource, Vertex) to implement and support tax integration projects.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to drive engagement on major tax initiatives.
Gather business requirements, lead analysis, and deliver high-level end-to-end design.
Oversee configuration and development activities through internal teams and external vendors.
Manage external software vendors and system integrators, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
Act as domain lead for IT projects, ensuring stakeholder inclusion and effective communication.
Provide leadership and mentorship to teams, integrating technical expertise and business understanding to deliver superior solutions.
Follow formal system implementation methodologies across project phases: preparation, requirements gathering, design, build/test, and deployment.
Support incident management, major incident resolution, and problem management.

Key Behavioural Attributes / Requirements
Hands-on experience in Tax Engine Integration (OneSource/Vertex/Avalara) with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP).
Solid understanding of Indirect Tax Concepts.
Good knowledge of O2C (Order-to-Cash) and P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes.
Experience in Tax Engine Configurations (OneSource or Vertex).
Ability to troubleshoot tax-related issues and provide solution design.
Knowledge of Avalara and VAT compliance is an added advantage.
