About the Role
Are you an experienced and proactive Network Engineer with a passion for high-availability networks, zero-trust security architecture, and automation? Join our team as a Senior Network Engineer, where you’ll lead the design, implementation, and management of complex enterprise and client network infrastructures in a hybrid cloud environment.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role where you’ll work directly with internal teams and external clients to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable network operations—delivering exceptional uptime and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Operations:
Design, configure, and support LAN/WAN networks including routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
Manage firewalls, VPNs, routers, load balancers, and other network devices (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, SonicWall, or Aruba).
Monitor and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 network issues using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or similar.
Ensure proper network segmentation, redundancy, and failover.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and manage network security policies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and vulnerability management tools.
Work with SOC to investigate incidents and enforce firewall rules, ACLs, and network hardening protocols.
Cloud & Hybrid Networking:
Design and support hybrid cloud connectivity (Azure, AWS) including VPNs, ExpressRoute, and network security groups.
Manage and optimize Azure-based networking (VNets, NSGs, routing, peering, etc.).
Project Management & Support:
Lead network-related projects such as datacenter moves, new site rollouts, or network redesigns.
Document network designs, diagrams, and recovery procedures.
Serve as escalation point for high-severity tickets and mentor junior network staff.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Project Managers, Cybersecurity teams, and clients to deliver best-in-class network solutions.
Coordinate with offshore NOC teams to ensure 24/7/365 support coverage.
Required Skills & Experience
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred certifications: CCNP, PCNSE, AWS Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate.
Technical Experience:
7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or NOC roles.
Deep expertise in network technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba).
Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN (site-to-site and client), and wireless networking.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud networking.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, STP, NAT, VLAN, QoS).
Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or PowerShell is a plus).
Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
