MS Dynamics AX 2012 Functional Consultant

Resource 1 is in need of a MS Dynamics AX 2012 Functional Consultant for a long-term contract in downtown Chicago. Individual must be local to Illinois and able to work onsite 2 days per week (Tues and Thurs) in downtown Chicago initially. During the UAT phase of the project (8 weeks), candidates will be expected to work onsite 4 days per week.

Our client is undergoing a multi-year (estimated 3-5) financial transformation initiative, which includes the implementation of MS Dynamics 365 F&O and CE to replace hundreds of legacy applications, including MS Dynamics 2012 AX.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support for the client s existing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 production environment.
• Work closely with business users to understand and resolve issues related to AX 2012.
• Conduct detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis to address and resolve system problems in a timely manner.
• Gain a deep understanding of the client s complex business processes, data flows, and system integrations.
• Document support activities, solutions, and resolutions to contribute to a growing knowledge base.
• Respond to changing client priorities and support requirements in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications:

• In-depth functional expertise with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, primarily the F&O module, in a production support capacity.
• Strong understanding of enterprise business processes such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics as they relate to AX.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to perform structured root cause analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with both technical personnel and non-technical business users.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex systems and adapt to evolving client needs.
