Job Title: Oracle Fusion Functional Manager


Location: Hybrid North Vancouver, BC (on-site for first 90 days, then hybrid)


Type: Full-Time, Permanent


Compensation: $143,000 $160,000 annual base + annual bonus, pension match, and comprehensive benefits

Day-to-Day Responsibilities



  • In the process of switching over from IFS and JD Edwards to Oracle. As the Oracle Fusion Functional Manager, you will lead the ERP functional team responsible for supporting and optimizing the Oracle Fusion platform.

  • You ll collaborate closely with business leaders, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the ERP ecosystem effectively supports operations across Seaspan s three shipyards and shared services teams.

  • Lead and mentor a team of ERP functional specialists across financial and corporate systems.

  • Manage ticket triage, enhancements, and system improvements across multiple business areas.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.

  • Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.

  • Establish governance frameworks ensuring data integrity, compliance, and standardized ERP usage.

  • Oversee functional configurations across key Oracle Fusion modules (FIN, SCM, MRP, and HCM).

  • Provide techno-functional guidance bridging accounting, financial systems, and business processes.

  • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to manage ERP projects, enhancements, and upgrades.

  • Support training, documentation, and knowledge transfer across teams.

  • Stay current with emerging ERP technologies, trends, and best practices to inform future improvements.


Must-Have Skills & Experience



  • Professional designation in IT Management or equivalent.

  • 2 3+ years in a managerial role overseeing ERP or corporate systems.

  • Proven experience implementing or managing large ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, JD Edwards, IFS).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to inspire and guide functional experts.

  • Expertise in financial systems, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, process redesign, and data quality best practices.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing or transportation industries (shipbuilding/marine experience preferred).

  • Certifications such as CPA, CMA, PMP, or ITIL are considered assets.
