Job Title: Senior Manager Advanced Technologies - HOKA Innovation
Reports to: Director, Product Development - HOKA Innovation
Location: Portland, OR, USA
The Role
A HOKA Innovator is versatile and can approach new situations and circumstances in original ways. A Senior Manager Advanced Technologies in the HOKA Innovation team pushes the boundaries of materials, processes and engineering systems thinking by creating next generation technologies to generate radical innovation concepts that shape the future of HOKA footwear. A strong candidate for this role is an experienced engineer, innovator and natural collaborator, proficient in working with innovation designers, 3D engineers, Asia factories and vendors and experienced in brining new technology applications and partners into the footwear supply chain.

We'd love to hear from people with
- 10+ years progressive experience in the footwear industry for a global company
- A Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a technical science degree (Master's, MBA or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years people management experience is preferred
- Experience leading advanced materials and processes innovation and/or integration programs in footwear or a relevant adjacent industry
- Experience leading projects with global development teams, including Asia factories and suppliers
- Experience across the spectrum of product creation from early stage innovation to commercialization
- Basic CAD and 2D design software proficiency
- Expert knowledge of mechanical engineering, material selection processes, materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of validating and integrating new materials or technologies into footwear concepts and toolboxes
- Systematic approaches to prototyping creation and testing with the ability to optimize product features by designing sample matrixes and testing plans
- Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Ability to train and develop team members based on individual talents, and support internal career path and development
- Hands-on creative passions outside of the footwear industry
