Job Details

Experience & Requirements:

  • 8+ years of HR Business Partner experience with a Bachelor s degree, or 6+ years with a Master s degree

  • Experience supporting 1000+ employees across multi-site retail locations

  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and federal employment regulations

  • Proven ability to manage multi-unit operations and partner with store leaders across regions

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills

  • Must be local to West Covina, CA and available to travel regularly

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

  • HR Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP

  • Experience in union or labor relations environments

  • Prior experience in retail or similar high-volume industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with store and regional leadership to deliver proactive, strategic HR support

  • Guide employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) on initiatives in Talent Development, Compensation, Benefits, and DEI

  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify operational and engagement improvements

  • Ensure compliance with California employment laws and company policies

  • Drive change management and initiatives focused on teammate engagement and retention

  • Oversee headcount management and coordinate with RPO for regional staffing needs
